At UIO Languages we are looking for Medical Interpreters with a minimum of 1 year of experience for work 100% remote under VRI mode (Video Interpretation)

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective communication between patients and doctors in an accurate manner, without adding, omitting or substituting information during telephone medical consultations.
• Comply with applicable ethics and standards of medical interpretation; adapting to a variety of medical situations and contexts; demonstrating flexibility and professionalism at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in the transmission of medical information during telephone medical consultations.

Requirements:

• Professionals in Languages, Communication Sciences, Translation and Interpretation (not exclusive).
• Level C1-C2 in the English language (Excluded).
• Availability to work 20, 36 or 40 hours per week.
• Minimum 12 months experience as a medical interpreter ENGESP.
• Have a high speed internet connection (minimum 100 Mbps) with network cable; Wi-Fi connection is not accepted.
• Minimum desktop PC or Laptop: Intel Core i5 /AMN Ryzen 5 with 8Mb of RAM.
• To have a private, quiet, large space, free of noise or distractions.

Soft and technical skills:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and consecutive interpretation.
• Professionalism and ethics.
• Stress management.
• High level of assertive communication skills, listening comprehension, note taking and short-term memory retention.
• Basic computer skills (Office tools).

Schedule / Benefits:
